Patience Pays Off For Owners Of Red Gaze

Apr 25, 2014

Anyone who had ever been witness to the antics of Red Gaze as a younger horse would give recognition to the tremendous turnaround in behaviour displayed by the 5yo son of Intergaze recently, and landing a win on Anzac Day in front of a huge crowd at Murwillumbah was a victory many of his team celebrated as a win on many levels. In his early days Red Gaze was known as a bit of a problem horse but with a little patience and some good horsemanship at his 13th start Red Gaze was able to put it all behind him to win the 1530m maiden, narrowly beating the Laurie Richardson trained Elusive Chateau into second. Earlier in the day jockey Chris Maund had declared the horse as the one to beat and rode the horse accordingly. Congratulations to owners J Lawler, B Sanderson, G McCall, SJ Power, RN Thompson, LG Thompson and DT Wild.
