Voltaire Lumiere Brings His Best To Grafton

Dec 02, 2016

Just how good is the feeling when one of your old favourites, down on his luck and struggling to find form, picks himself up and smashes out a win just like old times and you and all his followers rejoice that their horse is back!! At times it may seem like Voltaire Lumiere is as much a heart breaker as a record breaker with the promising youngster sometimes finding it hard in recent preps.. In the Bm65 over 1200m at Grafton jockey Matthew Palmer settled the 5yo last in the field of 9, carrying the massive weight of 60kgs and giving the leaders at least 8 lengths head start on the turn, worked around the outside to fly home to win by a length posting a final 600 in 34.45... Like old times..

A wise man once told me 'Form is temporary, Class is permanent'
